Internship In Psychology – Level 6
This is a service-learning course that provides an opportunity to senior undergraduate psychology majors to develop and apply career readiness skills by undertaking a placement in a relevant collaborating setting in selected business, not-for-profit, scientific or community organisations. The course combines placement attendance, with class-based preparatory work, and evaluations. It fosters both professional and personal development through applying concepts learned in class to actual or simulated field experiences and gaining confidence and efficacy through exploration of professional opportunities. Prerequisites: The student must have completed a minimum of 30 credits from Levels 5 and 6 modules of the Psychology program before being able to take this course. All internship placements are subject to the formal approval by the Department Head and Internship Coordinator.
